Brainy Bear was born from a simple idea: that the things you write in every day should be as beautiful as what you write in them.
A lifelong lover of journaling, I know firsthand how the right notebook can change your relationship with writing — making it feel less like a task and more like a ritual. Brainy Bear was my answer to that: a stationery brand where design and intention come together.
A brand designed and launched independently, Brainy Bear combined original graphic illustration with quality product design — creating spiral-bound notebooks and notepads that stood out for their bold, joyful aesthetic and careful attention to detail.
Every cover was an original pattern — illustrated and designed in-house, from tropical botanicals to vibrant fruit motifs. Each collection had its own distinct colour palette and personality, united by a love of colour, pattern and the quiet pleasure of a beautiful object on your desk.
The brand was sold online through the Brainy Bear website and Etsy, reaching customers who appreciated design-led stationery with a strong visual identity.
